Day 37, Dighton to Great Bend, 95 miles

This morning saw a very early pre-sunrise start.  Heating up in KS this week.  Originally planned on going to La Crosse, but when we got to Rush Center, decided to keep going to Great Bend.  Weather tomorrow is calling for higher winds and 100+.  Who knows what the heat index will be.

A few changes in landscape, but not much.  The biggest being some rolling hills.

Met several WB riders today.  First guy was a whiner...  too hot, too humid, to much $$ for hotels.   Next couple from England were all bubbly and excited.   Such a difference.   Then, get this, met a whole group from a summer camp doing the TA.  Nice.  17-18 year olds.  This was a second group from the same camp we met.

Pretty trying day the last 30 miles into GB.  Rolling hills, steady winds, and hot.  98 when we pulled in.  Got a hotel...  not sure about camping the next few days.  Temps only going down to 80 most nights and humiditybis
