Completed map 6 of 12, so this is half way. I think we may have missed the actual half way sign outside Pueblo. Earlier start today due to forecasted heat. Poor planning on my part to be in eastern Colorado and Kansas in July...
Anyway, most exciting thing about today was passing the supermax prison in Florence. Otherwise, entering the flatlands of the plains.
Had the pleasure of riding with Bob, who I had met in Montana. We arrived pretty early in Pueblo and was able to get some work done on his bike at Vance's Bicycle World. Vance and Judi have some custom cars/trucks the work on in their spare time. Judi has a 69 Ford ranger 100 that her grandfather bought new.
Staying at the Santa Fe Inn for the night. Pueblo was 93 at 1:50pm this afternoon... a sample of the next leg.
